There’s more to you.

Kids are constantly bombarded with product placements and bombarded with ways to consume more. Unfortunately this world promotes consumption but pays little attention to the repercussions of how it affect the minds of the little ones. This mentality of take, take, take and when you’re done, take some more has a negative effect on how kids view the world and each other. In order for them to grow to be responsible members of their society, they must understand that there is more out there than just them. They must realize that they do matters far more than what this world lets on. Although it is good for the planet, what can be just as easily argued is that is also good for the kids to recognize that we can take but we must also give. We can consume but we must also refrain. Recycling, reusing bags, eating all their food rather than throwing it away and similar actions starts to get them thinking beyond themselves. Also teaching them to give their time to others, give their shoulder for those who need to cry, give some food for those who are hungry, give others our prayers and so on will bring them closer to a self awareness that will have a positive effect on them and everyone around them.

Good luck.
